“My favorite memory were the dances and parties at the house, which were always so warm and welcoming. After graduating from Penn State, I got a Ph.D. in Industrial Psychology from Ohio State. I taught at Penn for two years and went from training researcher to Vice President of Research and Senior Vice President  of Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association from 1952-1977.

I was the head of Psychology at North Carolina State University from 1977-1993 and was elected Fellow of American Psychological Association for Advancement of Science and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I am also the author of technical books and papers.

I married a wonderful Norwegian woman and we were together 64 years. We had three kids and six grandkids. I played a lot of golf and traveled all over the world. I now reside in an independent living facility near my kids in Massachusetts.”
